This Smile-a-Versary themed cake smash photoshoot was truly one of the most heartwarming sessions I’ve ever captured. I have had the pleasure of photographing miss Westlynn since she was 3 months old.

We have done several sessions together but this one was the most special. It marked a year since this little girl’s cleft palate surgery—a year of milestones, triumphs, and, most importantly, her radiant smile. The session was full of joy and emotion as we celebrated not just her adorable one-year-old grin but also the resilience and strength it took to get here.

The backdrop was a cheerful burst of colors, perfectly complementing her personality and her dazzling smile. Watching her dive into her cake with pure excitement and frosting-covered giggles was an emotional moment for everyone present. Her momma couldn’t stop beaming, their love and pride practically glowing as they watched their little girl shine in front of the camera.
