These sessions are all about fun, laughter, and making a joyful mess—all while capturing beautiful memories. These are perfect for kids who love to explore and play! We also take care of everything so you don’t have to!

When should I book a Cake Smash Session?
For first birthdays, I recommend booking your cake smash session at least 1-2 months in advance to secure your preferred date and allow time for planning the perfect setup. However, if needed I can take on last minute cake smash sessions.
📅 When Should the Session Take Place?
It depends on how you want to use your photos!
✔ Before Their Birthday (Recommended: 4-5 Weeks in Advance) – If you’d like to use the photos for birthday invitations, decor, or announcements, schedule the session at least 4-5 weeks before their birthday to allow time for editing and delivery.
✔ On or Around Their Birthday – If you’re celebrating the occasion right on time, you can schedule the session the week of their birthday to capture the big milestone as it happens.
✔ Anytime After – Cake smash sessions are fun at any age! If you didn’t get to do one right at one year, you can still celebrate with a smash at 18 months, 2 years, or beyond!
Since some cake smash sessions are custom and include the cake, outfit, props, and setup, booking early ensures everything is customized perfectly for your little one’s special day.

FAQ
When should I book my Cake Smash session?
A. I recommend booking your baby session around the time they are 8-months old, no later than 10 months old. This allows plenty of time to choose the perfect theme and secure a spot on my calendar. That said, I understand that life happens—and sometimes plans are made last minute. You're always welcome to reach out at any time! Please note that I typically book 1–2 months in advance, so availability may be limited for last-minute requests.
What if baby has food allergies?
A. If baby has any food allergies just let me know. The cakes are made specifically for each child/ session so certain ingredients can be left out if needed.
Can parents/siblings be included?
A. Absolutely! I offer packages that include both parent, sibling and family images. Grandparents can also be included if you'd like, just send me a message with a detailed inquiry.
How old should my baby be for their session?
A. Most sessions take place when baby is 10 or 11 months old. However you are more than welcome to book their session at any age.
What if my baby doesn’t cooperate during the session?
A. The baby runs the show! I work entirely on baby’s time, taking breaks as needed to keep everyone calm and comfortable.
What should we bring to the session?
A. You need to bring in babies favorite snack, toy and changing items. That's it! I provide all props, attire, cake and setups. If you have a special item you'd like to include, let me know first then bring it along.
When will we receive our images?
A. You'll get a sneak peek within 48 hours, and your final gallery will be ready 3–4 weeks after your session.
Where are you located? Do you have a studio?
A. I am based in Lexington, Kentucky, where I operate out of my own private studio space—designed to provide a calm, comfortable, and fully equipped environment for your session.
Can I do a custom themed cake smash or do I have to choose one of your themes?
A. You are more than welcome to book my custom cake smash package. This package allows you to choose any theme your hear desires for your littles cake smash session.
